Dieter Damerius (born 7 April 1924) was a highly decorated Leutnant der Reserve in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Dieter Damerius was captured by British forces at the end of the war and was released in February 1946.
